Given Mkhari
Apart from being CEO of MSG Afrika Investment Holdings, he is Chairman of The Jupiter
Drawing Room, Chairman of The Communications Firm, Non Executive Director of Continental
Outdoor and a Director of LoveLife Trust, Africa’s largest HIV prevention programme.
Until 2009, he was a director of The International Marketing Council of South Africa,
appointed by the President of The Republic of South Africa. Amongst other accolades he is
the recipient of Men’s Health Business Man of the Year Award (2009) and The Financial Mail’s
Top Ten most powerful people in advertising 2006 – 2010. He holds a B.A. degree from the
University of The North, Higher Education Diploma and a Diploma in International Relations
from Bard College (NY).

Bonnke Shipalana
Bonnke joined The Communications Firm as the CEO in 2008 and his focus was to position the
agency as the leading integrated marketing and communication solutions agency. His diverse
experience gained over the last decade within the marketing and communications world has
seen him work on some of the country’s leading FMCG and telecommunications brands such as
Standard Bank, SABMiller, PepsiCo and Cell C, which have contributed towards his understanding
of brands, consumer perceptions, reputation management and maximisation of the correct communication
channels to convey messages.
Bonnke holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University paired
with vast experience in strategic marketing, brand management, reputation management, trade and sales
operation, innovation and new product development. His knowledge of the industry has successfully
positioned TCF as an agency that continuously delivers results beyond client and industry expectations.
He is a valued player at TCF with foresight, dedication and broad experience that he continues to impart
on his team.

Carol Dube
Carol joined The Communications Firm as an Events Account Executive in 2005 to focus and explore
her passion in Events Management. Her innovative thinking and impressive client liaison skills
later saw her being appointed Director of Events Management within a few years of joining the team.
As an Information Technology graduate, Carol started her career at Anglo American Plc’s Treasury
Department and later moved to Kagiso Trust to work on SMME’s. This is where her passion for events
and public relations was realised – followed by a 3 year PRISA course in Public Relations. Carol’s
success has seen her produce and stage events locally as well as broadening TCF’s event services beyond
South African borders. She has also managed to secure on behalf of her clients, some of the world’s most
celebrated speakers and celebrities, such as the former USA Vice President Al Gore, the former Mozambique
President Joaquim Chissano, grand master chess player Garry Kasparov, the first female commander of a space
shuttle Eileen Collins and reality television stars Kim and Khloe Kardashian and many more.

Simphiwe Mdlalose
Simphiwe has over 20 years of experience in media management. He has served as the Regional Chairperson of the
Media Institute of Southern Africa, Board member of the University of South Africa communications advisory board.
He is director of various group subsidiaries and associate companies and serves as interim Chief Executive of Capricorn
FM. He is also a board member of The Polokwane Chamber of Business.
Simphiwe holds a B.Com (Accounting) degree from the University of the North a Media Planning diploma, Public Relations
diploma from AAA School of Advertising and a Community Leadership Development Programme from Wits University.

Andile Khumalo
Andile, a Chartered Accountant since 2002, is the Chief Financial Officer of MSG Afrika Investment Holdings. Andile has
over 10 years experience in finance, banking and investments. He is also the Chairman of Metropolitan Republic and a
director of Continental Outdoor Media, The Communications Firm and Curious Pictures.
Andile is a member of the Securities Regulation Panel (SRP) and a member of the Financial Services Board’s Directorate
of Market Abuse. He also serves as Vice President of The Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern
Africa (ABASA). He holds a B Com (Accounting) degree and a post graduate Diploma in Accounting from The University of Natal.

Wendy Tlou
Wendy is a seasoned marketing and communications specialist in the areas of communications strategy and implementation,
marketing and branding, media relations and stakeholder relations. Her experience within this field has seen her head up the
communications office of South African Tourism as the General Manager: Global Communications from June 2007 to July 2010.
She started her career at South African Tourism in 2003 as Marketing and Communications Manager in Frankfurt, Germany and was
later promoted to Marketing Communications Manager in London after three-years. Her key responsibilities included leading the
marketing and communication effort to promote South Africa as a must-do holiday destination, media and stakeholder relations as
well as the management of agency partners in-country as well as in South Africa.
Prior to joining SA Tourism, Tlou was Senior Account Manager at one of South Africa’s leading PR agencies – Magna Carta and her
key clients included the domestic tourism portfolio at SA Tourism, Kelly Personnel and the TBWA Hunt Lascaris group. Wendy
joined The Communications Firm in August 2011 as the Managing Director where some of her key focus areas will include new
business development, strategy development, people management, innovation and strategic stakeholder relations.
